Okay, I'm back. I just started working on a Mk2 cue lift. Fun, fun, fun. Recovery from my eye surgery took longer than I had expected. I've been able to see for a good three weeks, but up close small stuff has been a challenge. It's normally difficult to spot the errant hair spring and dropped screw on the floor, so I wasn't going to tempt fate for a month. Besides, there's a small pin in the Mk2 cue lift, that normally get's left out because people don't know it's there until it's lost and the whole damn thing is reassembled.
I'll put the e-mail address back up, but may not get to answering e-mails but every other day or so.
Thanks for your patience.

Happy Holidaze
Okay, lets see what's up.
The website is being overhauled. While there's lots of good ol useful information on the site, I find the layout chaotic and difficult to keep track of. So, I tore it all out. ALL OF IT. Even the stuff that some of us knew was there but not linked from any of the pages. Much of the information will return.
Repairs. I am not doing repairs like Joel did, I have a full time job as an engineer for an automotive supplier, and don't have the time to devote to it (nor the space or inventory). If you need a DUAL repair I suggest Bill over at FixMyDual.com If he's not up to fixing your model Dual or you have a BIC or GARRARD, then try the guys over at TurntableExperts.com. I'm still working on Technics turntables, including the natty MK2 units and their demonic cue lifts. I can only handle one or two a month, so bear with me.
Cartridge and eBay sales. I'm on holiday for a number of reasons, one is that we take a two week holiday in manufacturing because you can't run a plant with half the people trying to take off, and the second is that I'm having eye surgery (that's why I've taken the e-mail address of the website too).
FOR YOU RESOURCEFUL KIDDIES THAT ARE ABUSING E-BAY TO GET THE E-MAIL, MAY I REMIND YOU THAT I DON'T APPRECIATE IT AND WON'T REPLY BECAUSE I WON'T BE ABLE TO SEE IT!!! Also, I won't reply because it has to be sent back through eBay when you click "hide my e-mail address". Okay, so let's get real here.
General questions. I honestly don't mind answering general questions. But I'm not an encyclopedia or a free service. I don't have parts to sell, so don't ask. If you're confused by typical turntable topic, shoot me a question. It might be a few days until I answer, so bear with me.
That's all right now for my ranting and raving. Have a nice Holiday, and if you don't, you didn't drink enough :)

Where is The Turntable Factory?
I'm currently only selling cartridges and on eBay. There are select items for the holidaze, but only as much as I can currently handle while working full time as a quality engineer. The e-mail link is in the cartridge area (no, I do not have a phone number to call), but please don't ask me about BIC, Dual or Garrard. I know nothing of these brands. Check out Bill at FixMyDual.com or TurntableExperts.com. I can only repair Technics 1200-1800(and MK2), and I'm only taking in one or two a month. I am working on improving the MK2 cue repair, so bear with me. Thanks - John

Please stop posting questions on the blog
I can't answer questions posted to the blog because I don't get a record of your e-mail.
P.S. If you are looking for tonearm wires, might I suggest that you try

tonearm wires are at the bottom of the page.
Thanks

Cartridges added to website..
I've added some new Grado product to the website. Shipping on all cartridges is always free.
Also, I've dropped a few vintage Shure V15xMR on the site. Don't blink, or they too will be gone.
Some turntables to be posted soon in the next couple weeks.
Thanks,
John

Getting back to buisness...
Okay, it's been a while since I promised a post.
We're getting some turntables together for holiday sale. Most are Technics units, there will be a few exceptional items that I'm finally willing to part with. They will go on eBay, but will preview on The Turntable Factory site for a few weeks prior.
I don't have any space to repair turntables at this time, and don't really see it in the near future. I do have lots of parts (like those natty belts for the 1600mk2) that I'll start posting also. I will try to fix some more turntables and keep some on hand. Most will be Technics (sorry, Bill @ FixMyDual.com has that arena well covered) and direct drive.
I'll repost the e-mail address soon.

Where's the contact info gone?
I took the e-mail address down because at this point, no one is around to fix any turntables. I'm also taking a month off from the site to do some other things.
